Epiphone Zenith Fretless Piezo Bass

This is a rare and wonderful piezo fretless bass, beautifully made, and no longer available.

The sound and playability of this instrument are outstanding.  Plugged in it gives a very good deep and resonant sound, very reminiscent of a double bass with the treble reduced.  Tuning stability is excellent. The EQ options are wide which can give a massive range of tones. I used it as an alternative to a double bass to great effect, but no longer have a need for this option. The neck is lined, and so players unused to fretless have guidance!

Cosmetically, this bass looks amazing, with the flame maple top and the high gloss mahogany body.  The 5 piece neck is secured with 5 screws giving a stable neck and excellent sustain. There is a bruise on the rear body which was there when I bought it.  It does not show from the front, but I have adjusted the price to take account of this.  They are sought after and have fetched far more than this as their excellence is recognised.

There is no hard case with this, but it does come in a decent quality gig bag.
